Spent a lovely day in Edinburgh at the Fringe Festival. Went to see ” Six-and-a-Tanner” at the Assembly rooms on George St. A monologue style play starring Scottish actor David Hayman.
David performed with the professionalism that he is well-known for. No easy task as this was a monologue play lasting just over an hour. Based on the memories of writer Rony Bridges. In a Glasgow funeral parlour, a middle-aged man relives the joys and tragedies of his 1950s childhood as he rages at the coffin of his dead father. This was a powerful tribute to life in all its absurdity.
Proceeds from the show go towards supporting David’s charity Spirit Aid.
